The Hollywood Horror Museum seeks to become an educational museum about horror -- books, TV, movies, the whole deal. They have a Kickstarter going and the only have SIX DAYS left of the campaign. Right now, they've raised less than $9,000 of a $21,600 goal. Check out the Kickstarter page for a complete budget.
Projects like these come and go and success is often based on who is behind the curtain. I asked the same question and here is the list of the Board of Advisors:
Any other questions? The only thing I'd like to see more of on this list would be someone looking more toward the future. This is about as good of a representation of the past and present as we could hope for. They seem to have their act together, too. From the website:
"The Hollywood Horror Museum will be a nonprofit, educational museum that will examine "what frightens us and why" but is not intended to be a "Halloween Haunted House." The purpose is to educate and involve guests, not frighten them away. Horror as a genre has become mainstream through Emmy winning TV shows like American Horror Story and The Walking Dead and films like The Exorcist and Paranormal Activity."
The plan is to not only have a touring museum but eventually a permanent location in North Hollywood. I'm all for it.
You have six days to help make it happen.
