Holy shitballs, y'all.
I woke up too early this morning after staying up too late last night. But it's all been worth it.
I spent a great hour with Jeffrey Combs. I didn't have to due much. That man is a story teller and, as we discussed during the panel, understands the value of story. Incredible man. If any member of the standing-room only audience got a picture of him with me in it, send me a copy. Remember me? I'm the redheaded guy who talked a little bit.
The classic moment of the panel occurred right at the end. As some of you know, Combs went to the Actor's Training Program at the University of Washington. At the end of the panel, one of his former classmates entered the room. Combs bolted from the dais to greet his old friend. End panel. Awesome.
I then spent some time chatting with Jessica Cameron, Jen and Sylvia Soska, and Tristan Risk. Four amazing people. I got to watch most of their 4 p.m. panel, which was just a continuation of their awesomeness.
Before that, though. I sat down with Reggie Lee. We talked Grimm, Drag Me to Hell, Dark Knight Rises, Frankenfish, and Pirates of the Caribbean. I learned that Lee's role in Dead Man's Chest actually came AFTER his role in At World's End. We talked extensively about his role as Sgt. Wu in Grimm and how he was able to use his Filipino background to make the "Aswang" episode unique.
Mr. Lee treated me great and I look forward to everything he does in the future. Such a great experience.
OK, it's 6:05 p.m. Here's the deal: I have had 10 hours of sleep in the last 42 hours. I'm beat. If I go to sleep now, I might not wake up until tomorrow. So it's up to you, readers, to get me out of bed and to the prom. If you want to see me there, you'll have to tweet the hell out of this, share it and like it on Facebook, whatever you have to do. Deal?
