I'm a dad now and although my son is too young to go to the theater, I'm still concerned about finding age appropriate entertainment for the both of us. If you have wee ones of your own and they aren't old enough for World War Z, you could take them to Monsters University.
The prequel documents the first meeting of Mike and Sully during their college years. Like many great duos, the two do not start out as immediate friends. Nothing new under the full moon plotwise, but it's Pixar, so it should be awesome.
And let's be honest, if you needed a healthy gateway movie to introduce your children to the joys of otherworldly creatures, Monsters Inc. makes a fine choice.
Billy Crystal, John Goodman and Steve Buscemi return to the roles of Mike, Sully and Randy, respectively. Helen Mirren, John Krasinski, Bill Hader, and Nathan Fillion join the cast, as well.
