Scary song of the week: It Won't Rain All the TIme
Usually I wait until October to talk about "The Crow." But I need a song for today. I'm going in a different direction with this week's scary song. It's not scary, for one thing. It's hard to write about horror and fake death when you lose a family member.
So this week's song is "It Won't Rain All the Time" by Jane Siberry. It's from "The Crow" soundtrack (possibly the best movie soundtrack ever). It goes out to my family this week as we mourn the loss of one of my cousins. The message is something we all need to be reminded of sometimes. When things are darkest, when it seems like the rain will never end or the cloud ever go away, there is a ray of sunshine that breaks through and reminds us that bad times won't last.
It's often hard to hear that message, especially when we are surrounded by darkness. Which sucks because that's when when we need it most.
Requiescat in pace, Bryce.
