The Vault of Horror Comics

I've been on a horror comics binge lately, consuming Hellboy, The Walking Dead, '68, Stephen King's N and The Stand, American Vampire, Locke & Key and others.

It's a safe bet that none of those comics would be around if not for E.C. Comics "Tales from the Crypt."

The problem is that graphic novels are extremely expensive and remembering to get new issues of comics often gets lost in the shuffle of day to day living. When it comes to classic comics, the good ones can be hard to find and the great ones will break your bank.

I didn't grow up in the heyday of E.C. like many of my horror heroes did. I'm the kind of person who likes to dig into the roots of what made people I admire into the creative forces they became.

Original issues of "Tales from the Crypt" don't just drop into one's lap. Thankfully, there is a way we can all enjoy some of these horror gems.

The folks over at the Zombie Club have put together a digital collection of some of horror comics' finest moments. "Tales from the Crypt" and the "Dawn of the Dead" comics from IDW are just samples of what is available. You can view them page by page on their website and certain issues are downloadable to enjoy at your leisure.

There's plenty of other fun stuff at the Zombie Club worth checking out. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

And tell them Warning Signs sent you.
