Scary song of the week: "Living Dead Girl"

There are far too many choices for Scary Song of the Week when it comes to Rob Zombie. Warning Signs has chosen "Living Dead Girl" for this week's scary song.

Zombie is a showman and for this video he dips into his vast horror background all the way to the silent film era. "Living Dead Girl" mimics "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari," the 1920 classic.

As most of Zombie's best videos do, this one stars his wife Sherri Moon as the title character who is brought back to life by a mysterious medicine man, played by Zombie.

It's a spooky effect, all deep black and stark white. There is something about the title cards that gives the video an otherwordly feel.

As for the song, it's classic Rob Zombie. Heavy guitars, thumping bass, driving drums. I wouldn't call it his best song as a solo artist, but it's a great example of what he does.
